I hope the materials needed to replace the pivots are in good supply—so glad y’all are whole and healthy. We had a fairly large amount of terrace work done to our farm last year—love the heavy equipment operators! In these troubled times, it is refreshing to see young, dedicated couples keeping pace with America!! It is both rare and precious that this trend continues.😊 Wishing you and Grant many more years of love and happiness. Best wishes with your farms.
I saw an ad for a 1946John Deere Model R Diesel Tractor for sale so I went to investigate. It was pushed into a shed when it stopped running 20 years ago, the farmer needs the shed space for his new boat so he just wanted it gone. My wife: Why don't you ever cry or show feelings? Me: tear rolls down every time Marty cranks up one of these beauties after they been sitting there for years. :) Don't hold me to this, but I'm pretty sure it's a 1949 Model R. They were produced until 1953. Great find, actually and worth restoring. I'd say it was worth "swamping it" to get this one. Looks like an “R” - she’s a 4 stroke. She looks a bit rough, hope you don’t have to invest a ton of money into it. Engine repairs on them old gals are getting pricy. I wouldn’t be surprised if you find water in the engine, looking at that property it wouldn’t shock me if it’s been deeper in the water at some point. Looks like its a Good thing your Pops took good care of this truck.
Just brought this tractor home and got it running. I worked for Speedex for a time, in Ravenna Ohio, as a draftsman in their engineering department. ...And this is the most complete and original 1941 Speedex I've seen in almost 40 years! In fact, that "Pond Garage" stencil is absolutely wild! Granted, I don't see MANY 1941 Speedexes, but still living in the area I've seen roughly a dozen, and most are not restored but repaired. ...Repowered, re-wheeled, incorrectly painted, etc., etc.. Back in 1978 or '79, my best friend and I completely and correctly RESTORED a 1941 Speedex Model B that he got from an uncle. It was more complete than yours, but in far worse condition when I helped him fetch it. Your plow is original, as is your right rear tire. I think your steering tie rod up front is a homemade replacement though, as I've never seen another like it. I do hope you have been or will be able to find the carb or parts necessary to put it back the way it was, and most of all I worked for Speedex for a time, in Ravenna Ohio, as a draftsman in their engineering department. ...And this is the most complete and original 1941 Speedex I've seen in almost 40 years! As you may have discovered by now, these things have a high center of gravity, terrible weight distribution, and one of the clumsiest positions you'll ever assume to drive or operate a piece of outdoor power equipment. Best to just drive it around carefully and tell everyone what a great daredevil you are to do so!
My Sister raking Alfalfa on a 1949 John Deere BW with a newly restored John Deere side delivery rake. I have raked about a million bales worth of hay with ‘50 BW and a John Deere 620 rake. This brings back a lot of memories. Nice looking tractor, cute operator. Love hard working girl I have raked about a million bales worth of hay with ‘50 BW and a John Deere 620 rake. This brings back a lot of memories. Woow, this girl can do things I never can do. Very high respect for this farmer, driving synchronized, and handling the animal food in the storage. Thanks for sharing this small part of a farmers life and work every day, every year !!!!
tractor labour ploughing, serial number 7U1941 I used to sit on the oil can too when I was a little boy. Later I operated long hours with no pay because I loved it and grandpa did too. reat video mate. Iv got a D4 30 A . They were much like the 7 U model but before the D 4 C model. It was made in Mexico in 1954 and less than a hundred were bought to Australia. Surprising how many little changes were made during a production run of a series.
Hey friends, It's been a long time since this video was made, but I don't want to withhold my driving and plowing test from you. Here we are with the annual pink appointment of my channel! I think that almost all of you have had the opportunity to "know" it through my videos, or maybe some lucky ones even live, in any case I present it verbatim. She is Giulia, a young girl engaged in agriculture, former university student, graduate in agricultural science and technology who now works in the family business that deals with contracting. 3 years ago I brought her first video which now has almost 13 million views, she was practically the first to expose herself in an Italian "video" way, from that moment on the videos of the "girl on tractor" have sprung up as mushrooms, rightly so.
Great video, but could we try to stick to one unit system, also I think the komatsu lifts higher than 2 feet. Other than that, love this stuff nice video, how can you leave out the former LeToureau now Komatsu L2350 out of the Massive wheel loader video, while showing 6-10 yard machines?? you did the bigger cats that are quarry machines, as are some of the Komatsu units. little disappointing . Could you make a video on how these machines are made
How much I love farming and how much I like to drive tractors in nature you are happy this month ... I watched so many unnecessary videos, as always in general ... Wow beautiful farm, can I have a job with you?
The little Laura was precious. The guy I work for has a young daughter and she is very Impressive the way she runs all the equipment on the farm. It reminded me of her seeing you running the combine as a young girl. Good luck on harvest this year! That looks like a glass electrical insulator which used to go on power poles. And that view of the setting sun is amazing. The land is so flat you can see 186 million miles! Laura, that was amazing, seeing you working a combine as a child,, just incredible. Your attitude to agriculture is a true inspiration.. well done, happy harvesting. omg, little Laura was so precious. You were vlogging even when you were little huh? keep the great work. I enjoy seeing Grants clips as well.
I hope you and Grant continue to have the best time together. I'm praying for Grandpa. You and Grant always have the best time together. Pray that never changes. Praying for Grandpa. with you, Laura. Hate mice. I was on an open tractor about 20 years ago and had one run up inside the leg of my jeans! You don’t forget that! Good work with the scraper. Those are a bit tricky to run.
I always LOVED pulling a harrow back when we were farming because I could flat out CRUISE with it Hope u having a great day Laura, Been binge watching your older videos since i found your channel. I love it! After seeing your love of cookies i tried to get some Stroopwafels (Dutch type of caramel cookie) to sent over but bloody buggers wont sent to a PO box ;'( Anyway hope U, Grant, the puppies and the rest of the family having a great upcoming xmas Harrowing was one of my favorite jobs (many years ago and much smaller, simpler equipment). You could run pretty fast, and I could kind of get the John -Deere to drift when turning onto the next line. Dad probably would have had a conniption if he'd known I did that...
Excellent and I am passionate about refrigerated Love that trailer
The monster of the well-groomed sound is back. Jeyyyy About time 😄 Thursday the great sound continues 🤘🏻 Catch the first comment from Chuvashia, Russia! Good job.
